Paul's the love of my life (OK, so I love the kids too!).

We've known each other since 1979 when we met at work. I used to wonder who the guy was I'd see chatting in the hallway while on my way downstairs to pick up reports... he's the more sociable of the clan, you could say!!

He's perfecting his laid-back style, now retired and devoting his time to surveying the lay of the land and weed control. He raises a crop of tomatoes annually, may expand to include other veggies this year. He has an additional section of land in the back yard cleared that may be farmed or planted. Maybe we should consider cucumbers? I dunno... too early to tell! It seems a perfect spot for a bird bath and some tall grasses, if you ask me!

We've got neighbor cats that've adopted PB as their uncle of sorts. We haven't had our own pet since the kids were very young (it's so hard when a family pet dies), but with the three cats next door, we get to enjoy the companionship but don't have the vet bills. This is a good thing! I'm pretty sure we've been written into the family will to take custody of a cat or two if anything were to happen to their humans.

This same neighbor family of cats has a human who sometimes hangs w PB. They'll sit in one another's front yard and wave as other "less fortunates" drive to work during the early morning hours. Sometimes they play "dueling mowers." This usually means that, when one mows, the other has to get out there to make sure the point where the lawns meet is even... it's a constant struggle, but somebody's gotta do it!

PB's my favorite golfer, 'tho we don't get out nearly as often as we should. Lots of women I speak with hate golfing with their spouses, but he takes it as an opportunity to practice on his short game (yeah, he can hit his 8-iron as far as I hit my driver! it's exasperating but true!)!
