False Position to Approximate a Zero of a Function

Notes:
  1. The iterates xm converge toward the zero z of f.
  2. At each iteration, ym and yr have opposite signs, so at each iteration the zero z is to the right of xm.
  3. We see 1-sided covergence toward the zero z (xr remains stationary).
