Zeta Omicron Chapter

"Fun" Raising Events

Cedar Point Weekend

The women of the chapter, as well as friends and family members they may bring, work at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, OH for approximately 30 hours one weekend each fall. The money earned through doing this goes directly to the Alpha Gamma Delta foundation, which raises money primarily for Juvenile Diabetes, but also offers grants and scholarships for continuing education, etc.

Relay for Life

This will be the second year for Zeta Omicron’s participation in Kettering University’s 3rd annual Relay for Life event, where the members are raising money for the team and will be actively involved in the 24-hour walk against cancer, where proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

Crush Cans

The chapter sells bottles of Crush soda the week of Sweetest Day in the fall. Students from Kettering University, as well as boyfriends and girlfriends of Kettering students and even Kettering faculty members buy a bottle (or sometimes more) for their ‘crush’ or whoever they choose, and the girls deliver these bottles along with the handwritten message from the buyer on Sweetest Day.

Mr. Bulldog

Although it’s been gone for the past couple of years, be ready for the return of Mr. Bulldog! This is a chance for the men of Kettering University to show off their hidden talents and to compete for the coveted title of “Mr. Bulldog”… and for everyone else to them do so!

Participation in Derby Days

Every year the chapter has a very strong team participating in Sigma Chi’s annual Derby Days, where the girls compete with other teams for a week by doing various activities. Sigma Chi then shares the proceeds with a foundation of the winning team’s choice. The ladies intend to continue on their several year winning streak at Derby Days.  The money Zeta Omicron has won in this competition over the years has gone to both the Alpha Gamma Delta foundation and the chapter’s Relay for Life team.
