NOTES:

  1. Before solving these ODEs, you MUST show that the ODE is homogeneous.

  2. Rule of Thumb for selecting which substitution to try:
    • If the dx term (function M) is simpler than the dy term (function N), use the x = vy substitution (eliminate x).
    • If the dy term (function N) is simpler than the dx term (function M), use the y = ux substitution (eliminate y).
