ABSTRACT

Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic beam model is used in describing the dynamic vibrations of two beams joint at a gap. Method of lines is used in solving coupled partial differential equations with the normal compliance or Signorini nonpenetration condition at the joint. Transmission of vibrations across the joint is shown in numerical results.
