How My Obession Got Started:

The year was 2000. On one Summer day, after I had submitted my PhD thesis (after 5 long years of hard work), I made a trip to the local Hallmark store to purchase some birthday cards.

Since I had just submitted my thesis, I had all the free time in the world, so I began to roam around the store aimlessly when I spotted these adorable figurines in a locked window display. I was immediately drawn to the craftsmanship of the little figurines and their `teardrop' eyes.

After awhile, one of the ladies working at the store asked me if I would like to see any of them closeup. Oh mine! That question changed my bank account forever! So I began to browse through the large display of figurines one more time. On the top self of the display window was a figurine of a little girl sitting by a desk and on the front of desk reads `Always say please. Learning is fun'.

My goal is to be a college professor (which I am now), so that figurine immediately caught my attention and I asked the nice lady if I can take a closer look at it. Well, I am telling you now, it was God's will to connect me with Precious Moments for the subject written on the top of the desk (which I couldn't see while it was in the display window) is MATH, my choosen field of study!!! I have no choice but to purchase it immediately.

And the rest as they say is history....

Below is a my collection thus far. (55 figurines) I haven't added any new pieces for about 8 months now because I simply haven't had time to decide where to display them.
