Text Book: Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach, 5/E, by: Kurose & Ross
 
 

Overview: This course will cover a range of network topics including organization, analysis, and design of interconnected systems, the Open Systems Interconnection model, the Internet model, network topology, media types, protocol, Ethernet, ATM, routing, TCP/IP, and common network applications.
 
Grading:  The overall grade for the course is calculated as follows:

Exams: There will be a midterm and a final exam.
 
Homework:
                There will be several homework assignments throughout the term. The homework problems do not need to be turned in. Homework is fully the responsibility of the student. Homework sheets will become available on Blackboard as the material is covered in class. Each homework assignment is released as two files: one that just contains problems and the other with both problems and answers.
 
Project: The detail of the project will be provided later.
 
Laboratory:   The detail of each lab will be provided later.
